In the Life of Pi by Yann Martel, a boy who grows up in a zoo run by his father with his parents and older brother, Ravi. The family moves to Canada but their boat sinks and only Pi survives, along with a Tiger named Richard Parker, a Zebra, an Orangatan, and a Hyena. This book explains Pi's struggles and hardships and describes in great detail his adventure through the Pacific Ocean.
This just might be the most boring book ever written. 319 pages of small-text torture. There are some interesting parts, but if you don't have to, I would not recommend reading this book. It helps if you have watched the movie first, but you can tell they added things in to make the movie more interesting. I would give this book a 2/10.
